The KNX Protocol
KNX is a wired smart home protocol. Its advantage is the reliability of the products and the immediate response times even if there is a long distance between the units making up the smart home system.
The electrical installation is not traditional because it uses specific twisted pair cables which connect each switch to intelligent KNX modules on the electrical panel and these in turn control the lamps, electric shutters, air conditioners, underfloor heating, boilers, sensors, cameras, alarms,…
All this for the comfort of the user in order to allow him, via prior programming, and always renewable, to use each switch button as a wired scenario, without loss of signal, driving one or several commands.
In addition, the product range is extensive and allows customers to choose between a large amount of switches, complementary accessories such as detectors, energy consumption controllers, audio systems and much more.
A customer building a large house will find in this system the system that suits him. The price level of a house varies from house to house and depends on the needs of the client.
Very big names such as ABB, Schneider Electric, Eelectron, and others, offer products of excellence and constitute the basis of more than 600 different systems, in the world and especially in Europe.
